PKP is...
Hailing from the small central Nebraska town of Arnold, Phil found his passion for music at a young age. When a childhood friend spun Kiss' "Love Gun", his destiny was sealed. Phil worked various jobs to save enough money to buy his first guitar at the age of 15 and started writing his own music within months. Phil's passion for music wasn't bound by genre, however, his youthful angst made writing hard rock and metal music his preferred avenue of expression.
Through the years Phil has played in regional acts like Sinister's Grace, Wayward Son, 24*7, Quasi Mojo, Sayonara DaVinci, Wrong Way Jack, and Soulstatic. He honed his axe-wielding and songwriting skills while developing a style all his own. After drinking the 'Nectar Of The God's' from the horn of a mountain yak, Phil had a vision... and the Phil Koubek Project, or PKP, was born. Now you can find Phil fronting PKP while serving up tasty licks to the masses.
